Fischer provides payment machines and door terminals for access control in sanitary facilities at the bakery chain Merzenich
The Cologne-based company Merzenich operates about 50 bakery chains. In 2017, the company began to equip the sanitary facilities of their Cologne branches with Fischer access solutions. The goal was to implement a reliable access control, payment and voucher system and thereby minimise the misuse of the toilet facilities. At each location, an HTA payment machine was installed, where customers can pay a usage fee and receive a voucher. The voucher can be redeemed at the bakery, encouraging customers to consume further products. Each toilet door is equipped with a door access terminal DT100 that checks the barcode on the voucher. With an electronic door opener, passage is released after a successful control. Besides the barcode voucher, an RFID staff chip card can also be used at the terminals.
